故事发生在民国时期。因报林家救命之恩，开钱庄的白老太爷（雷恪生 饰）被迫答应十五岁独子白子义（魏韩 饰）娶长他八岁的林家长女林燕娇（马晓静 饰）为妻，殊不知这是林老太爷（英达 饰）为将来侵吞白家财产所设的局。林燕娇（王丽云 饰）嫁入白家十几年未曾生育，她自做主张将亲戚余梅兰塞给王子义（田小洁 饰）做偏房，一年后余氏生下一女，林燕娇狸猫换太子将其换成男孩，取名旺儿，并将其弟林望兴（荆洁 饰）安插在白家钱庄做事，打压为白家默默做事一辈子的李掌柜（郭勇 饰），妄图夺取白家全部财产。为巩固在白家的地位，林燕娇可谓不择手段，她利用陪嫁丫头香菱（虞梦 饰），对白子义娶进家门的姨太太们施展了穷尽的本领……。The film is a follow-up to Kvedaravicius’ 2016 doc Mariupolis, which followed the lives of everyday citizens in Mariupol as the threat of war with Russia escalated.。Aryan (Shahid Kapoor) is a talented computer programmer specialising in robotics.
