沉浸式话剧迷马帅在体验话剧《燎原》的过程中意外穿越到民国，进入到真实话剧故事中。他试图用游戏思维通关，却深陷循环困局。期间，马帅亲身经历了1938年抗日英雄背后可歌可泣的故事，也深刻感悟到当下的和平幸福生活，是无数革命先烈用生命和牺牲换来的……。老马是村中有名的木匠兼画匠，到了73岁时他已不再下地干活，平日里除了在村口看看牌局、聊聊天，就是和村里另一名木匠老曹一起做棺材生意。但现在政府大力推行火葬，越来越少有人来寻两个老人制作棺材了。老曹近一年觉得自己身体状态很差，遂找了老马为自己制作了一个画着仙鹤的棺材。做完这一副棺材，老马就去女儿家过中秋节，回来时老曹已驾鹤归西。老曹的尸体被偷偷埋在槽子湖旁的玉米地里，老马来这里拜祭，回去之后宣称自己在湖边看到了仙鹤。老马偷偷告诉孙子他最后一个心愿就是将自己埋在槽子湖边，待某日仙鹤将他驮到天上去。。That's Not Us is an intimate portrait of three twenty-something couples as they travel to a beach house to enjoy the last days of summer.
