踌躇满志的青年导演计划投拍一部大片，好不容易攒齐人马，抵达四川外景地，谁知原定的两千万打了水漂。剧组成员相继撤离，最后只剩下导演一人。万般无奈之下，导演找来负责排花絮的天津男、群众演员刘小花以及送盒饭的青年，分别委以摄影师、女主角和制片主任等重要职务，组成一个迷你御用班底。导演天花乱坠，带领三个懵懵懂懂的傻青年四处拉赞助，可是关键时刻掉链子，所费辛苦不少，最终手中空空，空欢喜一场。 失落的导演想方设法逃脱三个拖后腿的家伙，而他的大片梦想不知何时才能实现……。Fourteen months have passed since Hurricane Katrina, but residents of the Crescent City are finding it harder than ever to rebuild their lives, much less hold on to their unique cultural identity.
