大型电视纪录片《港珠澳大桥》是央视科教频道等国内合作单位，与Discovery探索频道组建国际合作团队后，于2017年2月开机拍摄的。在半年多的时间里，摄制团队先后赴京沪晋冀及港澳等国内十多个省区，追寻中交集团、中铁山桥、太钢集团等大桥建设企业和一线劳动者的足迹；并专程远赴美国、孟加拉国、文莱等国家，寻访“一带一路”大背景下、粤港澳大湾区建设中港珠澳大桥的价值和意义，通过真实记录港珠澳大桥的建设过程，让外国观众更多更好地了解中国，使该片发挥出“增信释疑、凝心聚力的桥梁纽带作用”。。Rainer Kohlberger is prepared to go far when it comes to the physical experiences he evokes with his work.
