故事设定在伦敦，一群年轻的大学毕业生竞相进入顶级投行，他们逐渐融入到充斥着性、毒/品、自负的公司文化中，同事、朋友、爱人、敌人的界限变得模糊。。改编自真实事件，本片讲述上世纪四五十年代苏格兰警探William Muncie和连环杀手Peter Manuel之间的猫鼠游戏。Peter Manuel曾经因为入室盗窃和性侵被Muncie警探投入监狱。9年后Manuel出狱后又开始疯狂作案，与此同时Muncie开始收到其寄来的手写卡片。Muncie誓将Manuel抓获。。A savings-and-loan bank is robbed| later, a police wiretap identifies teller Leon Poole as inside man.
