That is, until the spirit steps in...。此剧主要讲述隐藏了真实身份的天才作曲家姜汉杰和对姜汉杰一见钟情的维他命般活力的女高中生“尹素琳”之间的纯爱故事。。赵小凤乃蓬门碧玉，由姑母撮合，跟李家宝结成夫妇。婚后夫妻相处融洽，小凤亦克尽妇道。乡中有张氏一家自省城回归故里，满屋子精巧洋货，引得风气朴实的农民渐生虚荣，加上有船姑娘桂英嫁给小军官，回乡时打扮新潮，各人均以为城市黄金遍地。小凤的友人阿芳最先蜕变，跟人私奔。小凤亦受张家儿子怂恿，欲往城中任模特儿。家宝因此大表不满，盛怒下掌掴妻子，害得小凤精神大受创伤，夤夜出走。幸得吴校长谆谆开导，终能互相谅解。不久，阿芳由城返乡，并染上毒瘾，最后留下遗言，于河畔自尽。此时，小凤终觉悟虚荣之累，决定与家宝同耕共读，不再作非份之想。。
